L.A. home care providers across all 5 supervisorial districts arrived in greater numbers than last week to stand in solidarity and deliver public comments at the County Board of Supervisors to demand real investments for in-home care workers to meet the growing demand for thousands of older adults and people with disabilities who need care. L.A. County’s largest low-wage workforce is facing a care crisis, and home care workers made it clear: Quality Wages for Quality Home Care Through emotional testimony and unwavering unity, L.A. IHSS providers stood strong on demands to invest in vital care against keeping low-wage workers on the edge of poverty.
